About

So, how old are you?
I am in my mid 20's - exactly mid 20's to be exact!

What country do you hail from?
I live in beautiful Perth, Australia - land of sunshine, beaches and lots of Aussies....

So you're married....
Yup - I have an amazingly gorgeous and wonderful husband who is so supportive and caring. He treats me like a princess and I am so blessed to have him in my life. We are parents to our beautiful son, James (2yrs) who was the inspiration that started my interest in sewing. I received my first sewing machine (courtousy of my generous husband!) a few months after James was born as I really wanted to sew baby things. I taught myself to sew by following the instruction manual - I am one of those weird people who is more excited about reading the manual in its entirety than by the new purchase itself!

What crafty things do you dabble in?
I'm keen to give almost anything a try really. I sew, cross-stitch, knit, paint, quilt, make clothes, build stuff, dream.... I currently want to give crochet a go...

Why blog about it?
Well, it gives me an outlet for my writing desires. I would love to one day write a book. I don't know what it would be about but I really enjoy writing. I love to share ideas I have found and tutorials I have come across and am starting slowly to make my own tutorials... I receive so much from reading others tutorials and blogs so thought it was time to give back!

Some of your posts can be... controversial...
Well - we live in a controversial world don't we. This is my blog to share what matters most to me. Yes sometimes I may post something shocking but it will always have a warning at the top. I want to be honest. Honest about my life - struggles and triumphs alike. I also want to raise awareness for things that matter to me - things like Post-natal Depression and Anxiety and also Social injustices and crimes in third world countries. My husband and I are particularly passionate about Cambodia. Stay tuned for our adventures over there...

So are you a Christian?
Yes. I am a Christian in the sense that I am a follower of Christ. I would not consider myself "religious" as this tends to bring to mind people who believe that we need to live by a set of rules and traditions. I have a relationship with God who is my best friend, confidant, saviour, healer and Lord. My church is a charismatic church - very modern and open to anyone coming. We share our faults openly and don't believe we "have it all together" or are better than other churches. We just want to do life together and encourage each other along the way whilst sharing our love for God with others.
